G.E. Massenez Poire Prisonnière The Flagship of the MASSENEZ Brand Created 40 years ago by G.E. Massenez, THE PRISONER PEAR is an iconic Poire Williams eau-de-vie thanks to its original character and unique package. How do they get the pear in the bottle ?  

Empty bottles are hung on trees. The young fruit bud is then made to grow inside each bottle. • 30 pounds of pears are required to produce one bottle. It is made by fermenting crushed ripe fruit for up to six weeks, and then distilling it to a relatively low strength which preserves its distinctive bouquet.

It is then allowed to age. Knowing exactly the necessary time for aging and mellowing of a brandy like Poire Williams is one of the secrets of a great distiller’s craft.

Pear is Fruity, fresh and intense. The Pear flavor is intense and provides great freshness. Final spicy note with a hint of liquorice typical of Williams Pear. A very harmonious Brandy. Important Points:  The Pear should be kept covered to prevent oxidation and discoloration.
